Sumac is an astringent red berries of a mediterranean shrub that grows in the mountains in Lebanon. It is harvested at the end of summer and left on the branch to dry in the sun. It is then ground and sifted to produce a coarse textured powder which has a pleasant lemony taste. It is a 100 percent natural product with no additives or preservatives.

Use for seasoning salads, stuffings, fried eggs, marinating meat and chicken.
